Greedy Algorithm C behaved predictably when coding the Football and Tennis sequences, in that, the number of matching criteria evaluations increased as the maximum displacement was increased and it appeared to be independent of the sequence coded.
For both the Tennis and Football sequence the MSE was reduced initially as the displacement increased and then began to rise slightly. It can be seen from the above graph that the MSE was lowest at ±12, ±4 and ±8 pixels for the Football, Garden and Tennis sequences respectively. Beyond these displacements the MSE began to rise, although not continuously.
