Remarkably, the facade that
dominates Largo Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro is not
his work, but that of Luís Ferreira. Ferreira, better know as
Ferreira das Tabuletas began producing his best work after he
became art manager at Fábrica Viúva lamego in the 1860s. |
Ferreira's most commonly seen work is the interior of
Cervejeria Trindade, one of Lisboa's most famous
and most popular restraunts. Trindade is not far from Largo Rafael
Bordalo Pinheiro and stays open quite late. Why not go along there
and have some sea food and some Portuguese
beer.
